founded Hand2Mouth Theatre in 2000 and functions as Artistic Director. Jonathan has directed the bulk of Hand2Mouth shows, and works closely with guest writers and the ensemble to develop new work. Jonathan worked in Poland in 1999 with street theatre Biuro Podrozy and Teatr Usta Usta, and has collaborated, trained and worked with many American physical theatres, including Sojourn Theatre, The Carpetbag Brigade and Elevator Repair Service. He has won multiple residencies at Caldera Arts, and been awarded fellowships by the Oregon System of Higher Education and Portland Civic Theatre Guild to engage in theatre work abroad. As a director, Jonathan’s work has been performed at the Malta Festival in Poznan, Poland, the PuppetLove! Festival in San Francisco, California, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art’s TBA 2007 Festival, On the Boards in Seattle, and elsewhere. Jonathan is a 2005-07 recipient of a Career Development Program for Directors Fellowship awarded and administered by Theatre Communications Group and National Endowment for the Arts.

is a student of theatre at Mt. Hood Community College, where he has appeared as the lead in Henry V, and will be seen again in the upcoming Fiddler on the Roof. Jeffrey blames his parents for his love of the theatre as they're the ones who made him be Joseph in the church Christmas pageant when he was four years old. More recently, he's appeared in the Portland area in Mt. Hood Repertory Theatre's productions of The Front Page and Lovers. This is Jeffrey's first tour with Teatro Milagro.

is Associate Professor in theatre Arts at Portland State University. He teaches courses in theatre history and dramatic literature and has published articles on American theatre and drama in various scholarly journals. He has directed university theatre productions at Portland State and at the University of California, Riverside. Among his directing credits are productions of The Lower Depths, The Birthday Party, The Three Sisters, Woyzeck, and Waiting For Godot. Wattenberg is presently working on a book on the way in which the frontier myth was dramatized in selected 20th Century American plays.

Yemaya's Belly (2004)
received his first formal training in percussion at State University of Buffalo, where he studied with the Malestrom Percussion ensemble. There he also began his association with dance by being the resident dance accompanist for the Floorplay Dance Company. His interest in world music and hand percussion led him to California Institute of the Arts where he studied with John Bergamo, Glen Velez and Swapan Chaudari. At CALARTS he focused on South Indian Percussion with musician Pooluvar Srinivasn. It is Srinivasn who to this day Adam attributes most of his knowledge, technique and approach to music. Adam has been working with El Cuadro Solo Flamenco for the past year. Adam finds the study of flamenco to be challenging and fulfilling. "The more I learn about flamenco only reveals more that I do not know" Adam has been teaching music in the Public schools for 10 years. He also teaches hand percussion privately at his home studio.

has appeared in productions of Vinegar Tom, Don Pasquale, L’Enfant et les Sortileges and Mozart Reimagined. Clara worked and performed in Germany with El Cimarrón Ensemble, premiering Il Trittico, three contemporary one-act operas. She studies advanced acting with Devon Allen, voice with Angela Niederloh and works at Portland Center Stage. Clara thanks her family and friends for their support, and Devon and Milagro for the opportunity to collaborate with such an excellent creative team.

Some other Portland credits include: Reagan in King Lear, Cassius in Julius Caesar and Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream for Tygres Heart; additionally, she has performed for Profile Theatre as Annie in All My Sons and Kathy in Tales of the Lost Formicans. She was also seen as Harriet in Bloody Poetry for Cygnet Theatre as well as many other local productions. Deanna is a continuing member of Gunhappy and The Third Floor. In the past two years, Lucas has been hard at work producing and directing over 60 commercials and shorts for various clients. early lighting work for groundbreaking modern dance companies such as Cirque/Portland Dance Theatre was followed by many ballets for Oregon Ballet Theatre, in particular the works of choreographer Dennis Spaight. He designed lighting for Carmen, Martha, Der Rosenkavalier, Andrea Chenier, Don Giovanni and Don Pasquale for Portland Opera, for whom he is Assistant Lighting Designer. He is also Designer in Residence at Portland State University’s Opera Studio, lighting The Merry Widow, Street Scene, La Rondine and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in recent years. He has designed and produced corporate events and trade shows worldwide for major corporations such as Nike, Nordstrom, Nintendo, Skechers, Intel, Hewlett Packard and Dr. Martens. His architectural projects include lighting for The Museum at Warm Springs, the UC Berkeley Anthropological Museum, and Niketown Atlanta. He is Resident Lighting Designer at Milagro, having designed lighting for over a dozen productions and earning four Drammy Awards in previous years. Recent work includes Seven Guitars, The Motherf***er with the Hat and Exiles for Artists Repertory Theatre, Invasion! and Sans Merci for Badass Theatre Company and Parade for Staged! Musical Theatre Company. He is occasionally an adjunct instructor in the theatre departments of Portland Community College and Lewis and Clark College.

After almost a year of sketch comedy, this is JR’s first return to the stage in a full-length show. It also marks his first performance with the Miracle, although he did work with the Miracle as a staff member, building sets and the like, since El dia de los Muertos. JR is an almost graduate of University of Portland, where he hopes to receive his B.A. in Theatre within the next year. Recent credits include, Superego: Sketch Comedy at the Speed of Light, The Norman Conquests: Table Manners, Beautiful Thing (with Triangle! Productions), The Winter’s Tale, and The Rose Tattoo. JR also had the starring role in a local independent film titled S.C.I.E.N.C.E. “Thanks to Daniel, you are awesome, the cast, who is as well, the boys of TnoB, I love you, good friends (the few), I cannot illustrate the raddness of your efforts, and finally, my family, for caring when no one else does."

is a new comer to the Portland theatre scene. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, she spent over 13 years plying her technical skills throughout Southern California. As an associate member of the Colony Studio Theatre, in Burbank, she stage managed for many seasons including LA Theatre Ovation award-winning City of Angels, Working, and Putting It Together. Other Stage Managing credits include Imaginary Invalid at The Actors Gang, Theatre InSite's Trojan Woman and Is it Just Me or is it Hot in Here? Recently, Widener finished up Stage Managing ART's hit production Ain't Misbehavin. For 10 years she was the technical coordinator of Kaiser Permanente's three award winning educational theatre programs in Southern California. When not hanging around in the theatre, you can find her pursuing other passion in the kitchen as a pastry chef.

Kim is a local designer who has been working in/around Portland for around 3 years. She has worked in various capacities for local companies including: ART, Beirut Wedding, Jewish Theatre Collaborative, Milagro, and Enlightened Theatrics in Salem. Kim received training in lighting design and related skills from the Broadway Master Classes in New York and has had the privilege of learning from some of Broadway's greatest designers through the KCACTF theatre program in Washington D.C. In 2014, she received 1st place in scenic design at the KCACTF national festival.

John has appeared in many Art Player productions but is best know for his performance as Bullshot in The Adventures of Bullshot Crummond, and as Harry Berlin In Luv. His directorial credits include What the Butler Saw, and the 1981 version of Sneaky Fitch. Mr. Wilson is also vice president of the Miracle Theatre Company.

is drawn to costume design due to a deep love for theatre, character study, and clothing. This is her second show at Milagro, previously designing for last season's Guapa. She is delighted to be working with such a beautiful, talented group.
Emily Powell Wright se graduó de la Universidad de Wake Forest en mayo con una licenciatura en español. Barbie Wu recently performed in Magellanica (Artists Repertory Theatre). Wu is an actor from Taiwan. She received her Masters of Fine Arts in acting from Southern Methodist University in 2014. Her previous credits include Katherina Serafima Gleb in Slavs! (Southern Methodist University), Kattrin in Mother Courage (Oregon Contemporary Theatre), and Puck in Shakespeare in Hollywood (Very Little Theatre).

Sumi designed costumes for Imago Theatre’s Title and Deed, Medea, Savage/Love, Hughie, Pullman and Pimento, The Homecoming, and Stage Left Lost. She is this season’s Props Master for Oregon Ballet Theatre and also designed props for PSU Opera’s Les Mamelles de Tiresias. She has performed with Imago in Hotel Gone, Baudelaire, Black Lizard, Stage Left Lost and Cuban Missile Tango and appeared in Portland Opera’s The Little Match Girl Passion directed by Jerry Mouawad. She has designed and built sets for Skinner|Kirk Dance Ensemble and has received numerous public and private sculpture commissions.
