Every fall, the dead are commemorated in Portland’s longest running Día de Muertos celebration. This year, Milagro presents a celebration of our chosen families with a story filled with love and joy, that honors the ChangeMakers who have helped shape generations past, present, and future.
Clarrissa Rodriguez is a theatre artist originally from Tucson, Arizona and is pleased to be moving to Portland to work with Milagro Theatre as their Education Coordinator. She has been performing since the age of 3 in the back of her Tata’s pickup truck, and earned her BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College. She has since worked with Borderlands Theater in Tucson, where her last credits include Barrio Stories: West Side in the Ensemble and has directed a student-written and performed play with the Community Artist School. Other credits include Electra as Clytemnestra, Everybody as Death, and Priscilla: Queen of the Desert as Lead Diva.
