Milagro’s tertulia: Art + Conversation returns in 2022 in the newly revamped El Zócalo in El Centro Milagro. Every fall, the dead are commemorated in Portland’s longest-running Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. This year, following this season’s theme of Bridging Divides, Día de Muertos 26 searches to bridge the divides between generations, nations, and cultures by exploring the greatest divide in life: Death. Come join us this Day of the Dead, for a colorful, musical, silly, and delightfully macabre melodramedy for the whole family!

Join us for our 11th annual Día de Muertos fundraiser, ¡Viva Milagro! on Wednesday, November 2nd from 6:00 - 9:00 PM! This ever-popular event features a uniquely prepared Oaxacan dinner from Portland’s beloved Tamale Boy founder Jaime Soltero, wine from Casa Bruno, a performance from local musicians, a silent auction of unique Mexican Art, raffle items, and most importantly, a room full of Milagro friends and supporters. Milagro has engaged a creative team to develop and commission a Spanish language espectáculo based on Cervantes’ Aventuras de Don Quijote with a gender twist. The women, La Quijote and Sancha, inhabit an imaginative and visionary world turned upside down as they journey through regions of identity, sexual bias and politics, and much much more.
