This year, we are welcoming the cast of our Day of the Dead celebration, Raíz, to share their experiences in rehearsal with all of you. Today, we hear from actress María Sanchez, who is making her Milagro debut with Raíz. Today is our first day rehearsing in the actual theater space and I’m so excited!  This whole process has been an amazing experience.  A humbling learning one I must say.  I didn’t know anything about Día de los muertos celebration.  The celebration is quite happy and spiritual as it is an occasion to remember our lost loved ones.  We, the cast, with the help and explanation of Olga, have created our own altar and placed personal things of those that are now watching us from “above?” (somewhere, anyway!) … it’s great way of remembering!  Oh! There are so many things I want to say about this show — my heart is exploding — I hope you will feel all of this great frenzy when you come to see Raíz!  OK, back to the experience … For me, it has been about willingness, discipline, exercise(!), discovery, affection, new friends, and fun!  Back to rehearsal… Yes! finally today after the great La Luna Nueva celebration, the Milagro Theatre  is ours to acclimatize!
