Heartsaver First Aid class for theatre professionals

Heartsaver First Aid class for theatre professionals

Estela Robinson, our production manager extraordinaire, is arranging a Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED course specifically for theatre people to be held at the Milagro Theatre (525 SE Stark St.) on Saturday, April 7 at 10 a.m. It is a skill set that not many in the theatre profession have. At least one staff member in every facility should have the skills to respond in an emergency situation whether it be during a performance, rehearsal or in the office.

The Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED course includes information and training in basic principles of first aid, assessment and care for common medical and injury emergencies that occur in the adult workplace. This course also includes training in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and choking, and use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED certification card is valid for 2 years.  An experienced instructor, certified by the American Heart Association, will teach the class.

The cost is $40 per person, with a class size limit of 25. The class will not be held if less than 10 people sign up.
