Milagro’s yearly festivities for Día de Muertos are well under way, and they are being well received too!

Critics and audience members alike rave about our original bilingual production, calling it “one of the funniest plays to hit Portland this season” (Willamette Week) and “a humorous, family-friendly journey through the afterlife that explores […] family, love, and loss” (Portland Monthly).

Hand2Mouth: After attending the Nov. 1 performance, take thee and your ticket stub to Shout House (210 SE Madison St., Ste 11) for free admission to their The Dead Can Dance fundraising party, featuring DJ Daniel Hill and live music from Us Lights and Coronation. They “promise a night of otherworldly bone-rattling booty shaking” – join us and then them!

Church Bar and Wahaka Mezcal join in the festivities with lots to offer: guest DJs spinning Hip Hop, R&B and trap, as well as live performances all weekend long, with special Mezcal tastings on Nov. 1 and 2. Wahaka Mezcal will also host a tasting of their spirits in El Zócalo before the Nov. 2 performance.

On Sunday Nov. 3, Los Porteños, the local writers collective, will be offering a free public reading of original works by their members inspired by the holiday.
