Chazaq Pinto
Holy Lonely

During the month of May, we are pleased to share with you two exhibits by young, emerging artists: Chazaq Pinto, who designed the art card drawing of Oedipus el Rey; and Sylvia Malán-González, who audiences know both as Miracle’s house manager as well as actress.

Chazaq was born in Mexico City and lived in Los Angeles, the Midwest and Sacramento before moving to Portland in 2009.  He has been heavily involved in hip-hop and graffiti since the early 90s and is an active member of the Zulu Nation.  His work expresses his individuality and personal take on graffiti, and involves bold, clean lines using ink and aerosol. Chazaq lives for music, dance, art, fun and most importantly, love.
