Chilean guitarist Ricardo Cárdenas fills the Milagro Theatre with his extraordinary range of classical and folkloric music presented in his unique relaxed, disarming style. His enchanting repertoire includes composers such as Heitor Villa-lobos, Antonio Lauro, Agustin Barrios, Fleury, J. Cardoso, Joao Pernambuco and his own arrangements of Chilean songs. With special guest flautist Leeann Davis.

Ricardo Cárdenas was born in Punta Arenas in the Patagonian region of Chile. He began studying traditional Latinamerican music and classical guitar with Fernando Bargetto, later continued his studies in the University in his country. Cárdenas has participated in workshops and masterclass with musicians such as: Claudio Guimaraes, Nicolas Collins, Eduardo Eguez among others. As composer Ricardo has written music for guitar, jingles,theater and documentary videos. In U.S.A. Ricardo has played with musicians like: Mark Schneider, Maria Jette, Thomas Mapfumo, Carlos Zapien, Joe Power, Rebecca Oswald, Tyler Abbott, Kristin Halay, P. Thomas, Richard Crandell and he recorded with Grammy award band Cherry Poppin Daddies.
