As we move closer and closer to opening night for ¡Viva la Revolución!, our Day of the Dead celebration, Olga has been sharing insight to the development process of this original work. On her team of collaborators are multi-threat talents of actors, singers, dancers and all around creative heads, and we’d like to use this blog to introduce you to this year’s muertos. Nurys Herrera is originally from Lima, Peru. She graduated from Centro de Actuación para Televisión de la Universidad Católica de Lima. In Portland, she worked on a kids’ TV show called “Hola Hola” for Portland Public Schools for seven years. You can see Nurys in a several local TV commercials, as on-camera and voiceover talent. She was seen onstage last season as Conchita in our Spanish-language production of Ana en el trópico and as Margarite Coutolen in our 2010 Day of the Dead celebration ¡Viva Don Juan!
