Maggie Carrido Adams
Maggie Carrido Adams is an interdisciplinary performing artist based in the Pacific Northwest; recent productions include Two Sisters and a Piano (Theater Schmeater); The Grey Golem, Twelfth Night (Ghost Light Theatricals); Ibsen in Chicago, Here Lies Love (Seattle Repertory Theatre); The Hat (Bitter Single Guy Productions/Gay City).

Eleanor Amoros (Blythe, Receptionist, Awilda)
Eleanor Amorós recently performed in Living Out (Mask and Mirror Theatre) in the role of Ana. This is her first project with Milagro and she is thrilled to be part of the Tara cast. She is a psychologist and mother to two inspiring daughters, ages 7 and 13. She thanks her family for their support and Milagro for this opportunity.
David Cabassa (Billie Joe, Ricky)
David Cabassa fell in love with little rivers, moss-covered paths, and towering snow-capped mountains as soon as he arrived in Oregon. Born, raised, and educated in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, he is thrilled to help bring this incisive work to Milagro’s audience. He most recently performed in Living Out (Mask & Mirror) and The Importance of Being Earnest (Theatre in the Grove).
Pat Moran (Roman, John)
Pat Moran is a Portland-based actor, director, playwright, teaching artist, and producer. He is formerly the Managing Director and an Artistic Company Member of Action/Adventure Theatre. He was previously seen in last year’s INGENIO and is very excited and proud to be a part of the 2018 festival.
Deniele Ramos Cloutier (Scarlet, Tara)
Deniele is a graduate of CUNY Hunter college majoring in Theater and Gender Studies. She is currently a Master of Arts of Teaching graduate student. As an actress for most of her life she is excited to incorporate her vast knowledge of theater into her coming work as a high school English teacher.
Barbie Wu (Deedree, Fay, Margot, Claire)
Barbie is an actor who believes that theatre can be the vehicle of social change and instill joy, compassion, and courage to its audience and performers alike. Her previous credits include Magellanica by E.M. Lewis at Artists Repertory Theatre and The Mermaid Hour by David Valdes Greenwood at Milagro.
Adriana Gantzer (Stage Directions)
Recently seen as Germaine in Picasso at the Lapin Agile at Mask & Mirror Community Theater Co. and Voiceover in Hot’n’Throbbing at Twilight Theater Co.; and works as a professional independent voiceover artist.

Yasmin Ruvalcaba graduated from Williams College in 2017. While at Williams she directed El Nogalar by Tanya Saracho, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom by August Wilson, and Los Vendidos by Luis Valdez. She has also previously directed for Milagro’s INGENIO, taking on the new plays: Valentino and the Chilean Heiress by Guillermo Reyes and Roses from Castile by Robert Paul Moreira.

Naiya Amilcar (Linzy)
Naiya Amilcar recently performed in Living Out with Mask & Mirror community theatre. She currently works as a Surgical Technologist and is pursuing a career as a Psychologist, with dreams of opening her own practice. She’d like to thank her family as well as her chosen family for their continued encouragement and support in all her pursuits.
Angela Apocada (Marina)
Angela Apodaca is a Bolivian-Mexican/Quechua/Yaqui storyteller originally from Southern CA. She is known for sharing palabra through original poetry, her Frida Kahlo solo piece (Her Photos/Bowers Museum), and for the role of El Diablito in El Largo Camino de Hoy (South Coast Repertory). Tom Avila began his acting career in 2009, has worked on a variety of independent, student fictional films, including Verlosser, Pushing 80, Wearing Normal, Escolta, Ambrosia, The Circle, The True Story Jurassic Park, TV Show Grimm, and commercials. His recent film project, The Bowhunter, won six awards at the George Fox Film Festival, with Tom winning the best actor award.
Yolanda Porter (Khattie)
Yolanda Porter recently performed in The Taming And The Shrew with Experience Theater Project. She has participated in productions like All My Sons, Marisol, and Opción Multiple as well as in dozens of commercials, both print and on camera. She’s the mother of a second grader, enjoys extreme sports, avid traveler, and a skilled pastry chef.
Gustavo J. Ramirez (Noel)
Gustavo has been an artist for over decade dabbling in all things creative, from film making, writing, producing, and his favorite, acting. From NYC to PDX he has found a love for the stage and the theater, primarily as an audience member, but most importantly as an actor. Most recently Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap with the Experience Theater Project.

Ricardo is excited to be returning to Milagro’ INGENIO series. He is a graduate of Portland State University with a B.S. in Theatre Arts. Most recently, he has been performing with the Original Practice Shakespeare Festival and will be performing next as Weyland in Chapel Theatre’s Vampire Tapestry.

Amalia Alarcón Morris (Gloria)
Amalia Alarcon Morris, an actor of Cuban and Ecuadorian descent, is thrilled to be working with Milagro again supporting Ingenio and the staged reading of World Classic. Amalia has been performing in Portland since 2013, and was most recently seen at Milagro in Watsonville: Some Place not Here in the role of Amparo.
Justin Charles (Luisito)
Justin Charles was most recently seen transforming into various roles in The Great Divide (PROSCENIUM LIVE 2018-Portland Shakespeare Project). Thy hails from Texas and has traveled the country participating in various activities with Oregon Children’s Theatre, Oregon Zoo, Milagro, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, MadCap Puppets, writing, and developing jokes. Thy would like to continue to pursue a life of creativity in the arts.
Bianca Murillo (Miriam)
Bianca Murillo is from Southern California and received her BA in Acting from Cal State Long Beach. Her previous credits include: Woman Warrior, Fabulation, and Reasons to be Pretty. She’s a proud alum of the Portland Actors Conservatory where she performed in productions of Marisol and Good Kids. She is excited and grateful for her debut at Milagro.
Jamie Villeda (Chachi)
Jamie recently performed in the TV show The Wonderland Murders, on Investigation Discovery. She has also participated in two other stage readings for the INGENIO Project at Milagro; Irma in Blue Bullets and Scoobi in Los Dreamers. Jamie has also done print and commercial work for Trimet and Les Schwab.
Santos Herrera (Stage Directions)
Santos is delighted to work with Milagro once again. His previous work at Milagro includes writing, directing, and performing in the holiday season Pastorelas, as well as Assistant Director and performer for Milagro’s production of Contigo Pan y Cebolla.

As an award winning director, designer, and performer, she has worked up and down both coasts and as far away as Australia. Seen at Milagro Mainstage four times, this is her directing debut for Milagro. Upcoming directorial projects include Topdog Underdog (Nov), Made to Dance in Burning Buildings (Feb), and as Co-Artistic Director of The Beirut Wedding World Theatre Project, Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train (Apr).

Janelle Rae (CJ)
Janelle Rae is a Western Oregon University graduate with a BFA in acting and a minor in American Sign Language, with hopes to combine the two communities, working with children in the d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing theatre scene. Recent credits: Beatrice in Much Ado (Valley Shakespeare Company), Marrianne Angelle in The Revolutionists (Oregon Contemporary Theatre), Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret (Western Oregon University).
Anne Marie Eagle (G/Mute Daughter)
Anne Marie was born and raised in California to hearing parents, teaches ASL at Central Catholic HS. Her passion is to plant seeds of sign language interpreters who are People of Color and other walks of life. She gardens, cooks, and does fun art stuff when she has the time. Has a dog who is a terrier mix named Willa and two grown children, one attending Oregon State, and the other with her new family.
Tricia Castañeda-Gonzales (Yoli/Grandma)
Tricia Castañeda-Gonzales is happy to be returning to Milagro! She is currently in her final year as an actor in UW’s PATP but you may have seen her in various local productions prior to her graduate endeavors. Tricia served as an actor/teaching artist for Teatro Milagro and OCT and also appeared on stage with CoHo, Lakewood, defunkt, and more.
Nurys Herrera (Ana/Monalu)
Nurys Herrera is a local Latina actress originally from Lima, Peru. She has been part of a total of 28 plays at Milagro since 2002, most recently in Lydia, playing the role of the Mom. Nurys is excited to be part of Ingenio this year and would like to thank Roy Arauz for the invitation.
LilLouie Barrios (Tito)
LilLouie Barrios is originally from California, currently living in Portland, OR. He took Film Class and Acting and at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside; and studied acting at Riverside Community College; he is currently at Clackamas Community College. LilLouie was a contestant of Deaf Got Talent in Deaf 258 St Festival in Denver, CO in 2018.
Diane Englert (Teacher/Mari/Texter)
Diane is delighted to be back at Milagro where she played the Gloria in Icarus and directed the workshop reading of Los Dreamers. Diane appeared at Portland Rep, CoHo, NW Children’s Theatre, JAW at PCS, and on NBC’s Grimm. Favorite roles include Amanda in The Glass Menagerie, Jackie in Greek, and Adela in The House of Bernarda Alba.
Jacob Merz (L/Armando)
Jacob Merz is an actor, activist and advocate of Deaf issues. He was last seen in ASL Midsummer Night’s Dream (Sound Theatre/Deaf Spotlight). He is a graduate of Western Oregon University with a major in ASL studies and a minor in theater. He stage managed Howie Seago’s Holy Water (July 2018) and assistant stage managed SOUND (fall of 2015). He thinks no role is too small to act.
Michael Cavazos (Oh Me)
Michael Cavazos is a playwright, actor and stage manager. He recently directed the theatrical staged reading Voz Alta: Generaciones. At Milagro, he was last seen in The Mermaid Hour and has stage-managed several shows including La Belle, Savage/Love, Hotel Gone and Medea at Imago Theatre and Crossing for Crave Theatre. You can hear Michael deejaying every Wednesday on opbmusic.
Julie Gebron (Interpreter)
Jonathan Hernandez (Stage Directions)
Jonathan Hernandez is an actor and storyteller. His was seen in Milagro’s La Muerte Baila. Currently he tours in Above Between Below — an educational production about bullying. He is also workshopping his new play, Mijo. “Thank you Milagro for all of the opportunities you’ve given me. I am grateful to have a community where I can express myself and hone my craft.”
