Bunnie Rivera has been in the entertainment business for over 30 years. She has been on stage, television, and film as an actor in both Portland and Hollywood. When COVID hit, the entertainment industry virtually shut down for almost two years. This brought Bunnie to her true mission of creating award-winning films that will impact diverse communities. By writing and producing films aimed at specific communities that can touch the hearts of the mainstream audience she hopes to achieve her greatest desire – to become a voice for tolerance.

THIS LAND IS is the story of a boy whose life’s events bring him to seek family. The story follows Jesse as he’s rescued from squalor to the loving arms of his Abuela – and then back again, by circumstance, to the
harsh reality of neglect with his mother. THIS LAND IS paints a picture of a child with few choices in a land of pride, traditions, and deep-rooted beliefs. Ultimately, both tragedy and hope lead him to the choice he grows to make.
